HOLLY CINNAMON
ARTIST BIO
HOLLY CINNAMON (she/they) - SONGWRITER | VOCALIST | PRODUCER | MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTOR & PRODUCER 🏳️🌈
Holly Cinnamon is a queer genderfluid & genrefluid femme lesbian actor, singer-songwriter and music producer based in NYC and Toronto. They produce and publish all their own music through their indie record label, Female Gayze Music, with a 88% queer and 66% female and non-binary team.
Holly’s latest release, HETEROPHOBIC, was written in June 2022 in response to the overturning of Roe V. Wade. Holly felt both solidarity with other people with uteruses and a sudden weird privilege as a lesbian, inspiring her to flip the script on homophobia. HETEROPHOBIC is a cheeky call to action for straight women to explore lesbianism, which feel safer and less risky in an anti-bodily-autonomy economy. #4B Other releases include 🫦 LA LANGUE 🫦 - a bilingual French and English sapphic song that explores queer femme-centered sexuality, and 👻 BOO HOO 👻, about not letting the anti-queer haters get to us.
Holly frequently performs at the historic Stonewall Inn in NYC’s West Village. She headlined a night honoring Henrietta Hudson founder Minnie Rivera at the inaugural Weekend of Women in Fire Island. She opened for Kat Cunning at Elsewhere for Hot Rabbit Pride 2024 and performs live original music at venues around New York, including Bar Freda, Gold Sounds Bar, Brooklyn Monarch & Nightwalk.
As an actor, Holly has appeared in Marvel’s Daredevil (Disney+), Succession (HBO), Hocus Pocus 2 (Disney) and upcoming in The Savant (Apple TV), Alert (Fox) and the Untitled Kathryn Bigelow movie. She is the title character of Velma Major, a short film about an indie queer musician, which features her song “PARADOX”. They hold an MFA in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee School of Music.
